Maricopa County 4th Ave. Jail

This project consisted of replacing 3 boilers in a 577,883 sq ft secure facility. Complete project with the installation of three new boilers after the removal of the old machinery. These boilers will ensure the continued use of the 2,064 bed/1152 cell secure facility. Site-work included shutting down 4th Avenue in downtown Phoenix on a Saturday. With the aid of a crane, the three old boilers were removed by lifting them through a small hole on the roof. They were loaded on a truck and hauled away. The new boilers were then lifted on the crane up to the top of the building, down through the small hole and installed effectively. The process took 5 hours.
